Design Philosophy As Architects we are primarily problem solvers. Our role is to help our Clients identify and evaluate their spatial and physiological needs. Akin & Associates believes that architects should not subscribe to one particular Architectural style, but rather translate our Clients' needs and aspirations into a functional physical form (the Building) which meets their goals. Akin & Associates provides quality assurance to it's Clients. No document is released without a Principal's quality control review. We are committed to...............timeless excellence.
DESIGN PROCESS: Our design process is built on the realization that verbal and graphic communication are the keys to our success. We maintain direct and continuous communication with our clients and consultants through all phases of our work. Akin & Associates employs a programmatic and user interactive approach in our design. This process includes: (I) Graphic analysis of individual spaces on 5 1/2in x 8 1/2in cards. (II) Space use summary on Microsoft Excel (III) Space visualization on AutoCAD. (IV) Gaming sessions (space modeling) with clients to derive desired solutions.
DESIGN COMMITMENT: Although Akin & Associates is a young firm, we are establishing our own design repertoire in addition to our established reputation as a "nuts and bolts" firm. Our first project as a firm won a Metal Construction News Award. We believe that some of our recently completed projects will follow in the same path.
